MBIE’s most recent ‘Jobs Online’ monthly report

The Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment has released the first of it’s updated version of their Jobs Online Monthly Report. The document now reports on all online job listings on the three major job boards for NZ (SEEK, TradeMe and The Education Gazette) rather than just skilled vacancies.

MBIE has stated this broader scope was introduced because: “Recently, the online vacancy market has broadened to include an increasing number of vacancies across all occupations and skill levels. The all vacancy indices provide a richer picture of the labour market and introduce skill levels as defined by the Australia and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO).”

At Enterprise we welcomed this addition to the report. It now gives us a really insightful data set on ALL job types relevant to our business rather than just one section. We now have a set of information that gives us context across the full spectrum of employment in New Zealand.
